Manolo says that he began photography just because he saw a picture of Henri Cartier Bressons, the famous- one of a boy caring a big bottle. He wanted to do the same kind of pictures.
After that, he wanted to be just like Sebastiao Salgado. But because life is very strange, he ended up doing interior photography and portraits… which now he loves. ‘I try to do interior photography as if I was doing reportage. I try to organize it the same way:first view, second view, perspective. I try to find poetry in the thinks I photograph, sometimes it´s very hidden, but you I still can find it, sometimes it´s just in front of me, and I just don´t see… sometimes I get something, sometimes…’
Actually Manolo works for magazines like AD, Vanity Fair, GQ, Woman, Elle and for international Architects like Peter Marino and Annabelle Selldorf.
