Coronavirus emergency pandemic, Cersaie fair and the Italian economy new beginning: after the Covid-19 emergency phase 1 and the commercial activities reopening phase 2, the entire fairs sector tries to reorganize itself, even with all the limitations of social distance.
In Italy, the next major event not to be missed will be Cersaie fair, the reference event in the world for ceramics, bathroom furnishings, design and architecture. Skipped for 42 days, it will be held from 9th to 13rd of November.
“It’s a big challenge”, as explained Antonio Bruzzone, General Manager of Bologna Fiere: “We are working on this important goal at national and European association level, with the institutions and trade associations involved, to be alongside companies in their new beginning and to support the competitiveness of our industrial productions”.
The title for this new edition of Cersaie is “The healthiness of ceramics to rethink living and architecture”. A sort of stimulus to develop a new deal on relaunching ceramics as a founding element of the world of interior and design. And at the same time, an invitation to design in a new more conscious way.
As Giovanni Savorani, President of Confindustria Ceramica, said, “We want to create the first international sector event to learn from the emergency and to rethink the world of architecture and living, combining health and beauty. This within the framework of a necessary overall effort by our country, to communicate as soon as possible the image of a safe Italy, necessary to restart our Made in Italy”.
There are many improvements and events, many of them through the world of the web to shorten geographical distances. The venue itself – the Bologna Exhibition Centre – has the new Pavilion 37, for many and different exhibitors. While the bathroom furniture sector will be located in the center of the exhibition center, and the entire Hall 18 in the Contract Hall.
In calendar there are also interesting events about the world of architecture and contemporary design. Like the “Cersaie Small Talks”, webinars with the owners of 11 architecture studios on the renewed YouTube channel Cersaie TV. And the “Women at work: the architect” events, with a calendar of virtual meetings with three female architects – Elisabetta Trezzani, Patricia Viel and Benedetta Tagliabue.
And for having a more direct view on the products there is also “The Exhibitor’s Projects”, in which the exhibitors of the 2020 edition of Cersaie show, through the social channels of the fair, their best projects made in the last year.
The Bologna Cersaie fair confirms to continue its program of training events about architecture for the lovers of Italian and international design. These initiatives made the Bologna fair a reference point about architecture, and confirm the great attention that the Italian ceramic industry has always paid to architecture, living and design.
